Apart from its harbour, Rotterdam has many interesting things to offer and during ECE/Rotterdam 2011 on the 7th of October Holland Tour Guides will be your Guides!
9.00 h Enter the bus at the collection point and enjoy!
The collection point is planned for Hilton Hotel, to be confirmed. The following time schedule is indicative.
9.15 - 10.15 h. Coffee and pie
Let us start with something nice!
The Netherlands are known for their windmills and today we will visit these in the romantic setting of Kinderdijk!
10.30 - 14.00 h. Boat tour and lunch
It is time to board the lounge boat. Your HTG guide will lead you through the lovely old industrial properties. While cruising on the Nieuwe Maas and the Lek, you will hear about the worthwhile sites we will come across on our way. We will moor at Kinderdijk after about an hour. There are no less than 19 mills, proclaimed World Culture Monuments by Unesco. These mills are still inhabited and we will of course look at one up close. When cruising back you will see the imposing skyline of Rotterdam! The lunch will be served on the boat!
14.00 - 15.15 h Rotterdam bus tour
When back from the boat, Holland Tour Guides invites you for an impressive bus tour through the Maas city. The bus takes you along imposing pre war specimens such as the glasses of Van Nellefabriek and Huis Sonneveld (the “New Build”) and the top architecture dating from after the war such as the Kunsthal, the Erasmus Bridge, the Groothandelsgebouw, the well-known Kubus houses and the New Luxor Theater.
15.15 - 15.45 h. Drink and snack
A drink and typical Dutch snacks are waiting for you!
15.45 - 16.00 h.Transfer
We will continue the tour with a visit to the Euromast.
16.00 - 17.00 h. Visit Euromast
The Euromast is an absolute landmark with over 50 years of history. The Euromast Sky Tower is the height pride of Rotterdam and is visible from almost anywhere within the city. Who doesn’t want to visit 328 ft. (100 meters) height tower with a spectacular 360 degree view on one of Europe‘s largest harbors, the city of Rotterdam and the Maas river bridges including Willemsbrug and Erasmusbrug? You can enjoy an incredible sight in the Euroscope.
17.00 - 17.30 h. Transfer
